PANTHERA APPROACHED US AS A LUXURY GIN HANDMADE IN LAIKIPIA, KENYA, DISTILLED IN SMALL BATCHES WITH BOTANICALS DRAWN FROM THE SURROUNDING HIGHLANDS. THE LIQUID AND THE PLACE WERE EXTRAORDINARY, BUT THE BRAND NEEDED A MARK WITH ENOUGH CHARACTER TO CARRY THAT RARITY ONTO THE SHELF AND STAND OUT BESIDE ESTABLISHED INTERNATIONAL NAMES. THE OBJECTIVE WAS AN IDENTITY AS BOLD AND WILD AS ITS ORIGIN.
WE BUILT THE BRAND AROUND A SINGLE STRIKING IDEA: A HAND-DRAWN PANTHER, EXPRESSIVE AND CHARACTERFUL, AS THE HEART OF THE IDENTITY. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS DESIGNED TO LET THAT MARK LEAD. A RESTRAINED TYPOGRAPHIC SYSTEM, A TACTILE PALETTE OF CREAM, BLACK, AND HIGHLAND GREEN, AND A BOTANICAL-STUDY LANGUAGE THAT FRAMES THE PANTHER RATHER THAN COMPETING WITH IT. THE CONTRAST IS DELIBERATE: A BOLD, ALMOST UNTAMED MARK HELD WITHIN A CALM, CONSIDERED SYSTEM.
THE RESULT IS AN IDENTITY THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO MISTAKE FOR ANYONE ELSE. THE BLACK LEOPARD GIVES PANTHERA INSTANT RECOGNITION AND REAL PERSONALITY, WHILE THE CRAFT OF THE SYSTEM EARNS IT A PLACE AMONG THE WORLD'S FINEST GINS. BOLD WHERE IT MATTERS, CONSIDERED EVERYWHERE ELSE, AND UNMISTAKABLY BORN OF KENYA.
